Calgary engineer finds fame as one of the builders of Felix Baumgartner’s high-tech space suit. I think we all were amazed by the crazy and wonderful skydive about a week ago by the talented Felix Baumgartner, but what about his suit? Isn’t that where the real science happens?
A incredibly gifted canadian was working on that suit, and I think he needs some recognition. After all, its one thing to make a suit that can make the human body survive at 39,000 metres but then a freefall? that takes the work of a true engineer.

It is so complicated but yet such a beautiful thing. From this, I want you all to love yourself no matter what others think of you. Most importantly, I want you to love yourself no matter what you think you should be. You are you and there should be no other reason why I do not love you for you!
Ok, let’s cut the corn out of this. The reason why it is such a complicated thing is because sex, gender, behaviour and attraction are usually topics that are very hard to teach and learn in an objective manner. Even I have trouble wording this and I am not even teaching it. This may be a very touchy topic for some of you but, as you age, it will start to become more and more “normal“, hopefully, so do not be afraid to question it or to ask for advice about it. One way to encourage positive sex thinking and, surprisingly, to protect the younger generation is to break the stigma and treat it as normal academic topic.
Now think, when was the last time someone told you to love yourself for who you are?

What are elements? They are chemically the simplest substances that cannot be broken down any further without losing their unique characteristics. The periodic table is a table of the chemical elements arranged in order of atomic number. This is so that elements with similar atomic structure and chemical properties appear in vertical columns. Neat huh? This interesting layout of the elements is available to us virtually anywhere all thanks to Russian chemist and inventor, Dmitri Mendeleev. Without his hard work and tenacity, the periodic table would not be the way that it is today.
Although the periodic table is a neat way of organizing all of the elements known to us as of right now, who can say that it is easy to memorize let alone know all of the components? Maybe the Element Song can help. Who knew that element names can make excellent lyrics to a song? Well, I guess Tom Lehrer did.
